Annual Summer Show

The Summer Show is the highlight of our year being one of the few large scale horticultural events left in the area. It is held on the first Saturday in August and whilst the focus of the Show is the horticultural classes there are also classes covering many other areas. Entries are judged and viewed in the large marquee.

The main sections are:

• Local Residents – Vegetable and flower classes for those living in the wider Risborough area including Askett, Owlswick, Whiteleaf, Longwick, Horsenden and Meadle.

• Vegetables and Fruits

• Flowers

• Flower Arrangements

• Domestic – classes covering baking, preserves, cordials and homemade liqueurs.

• Handicrafts – classes covering knitting, sewing, embroidery and other handcrafted items

• Art & Photography

• Junior Sections – various classes covering a variety of subjects including handicrafts, art, photography and baking. There are 3 different age groups:-

• 16 Years & Under

• 12 Years & Under

• 7 Years & Under

• Ellesborough Silver Band

• Ferret Racing

• Children’s Events

• Tea Tent

• Burger & Beer Tents

• Various Stallholders

Entry is free to members, £3 to non-members and free to children under 16.
